My Thoughts

I have never heard of such a thing but SpareOne Emergency Mobile Phone is a genius idea! We no longer have a land line so both my husband and I just have cell phones. Sometimes it makes me nervous to think if there was an emergency and we couldn?t use our phones for some reason. It?s so comforting to know that there is a option available for backup.

Living in California our biggest potential national disaster is earthquakes. We would most definitely lost electricity and after the charge on our cell phones is gone we would be without any form of communication. SpareOne Emergency Mobile Phone provides up to ten hours of talk time which is more than my regular phone.

Anyone living in a potential flood and/or hurricane area would benefit from the waterproof pouch that also floats! You can even talk through the bag so you don?t have to take it out and risk it getting wet. This would have helped so many people in Hurricane Katrina that were stranded. An additional tool is the built in flashlight that lasts up to 24 hours. There are so many benefits in one lightweight, easy to use phone!

I love that there is one big red button in the middle that you can press to be immediately connected to emergency services. Sometimes in an emergency people panic and can?t think straight and remember numbers. There?s also a menu sticker included where you can put nine programmed numbers. it?s always smart to make some of these out of state in case of a huge disaster where people close to you are involved too.

The phone just requires one battery (included) that will last up to fifteen years if not used! The one thing I don?t like is that there?s no screen. The phone does beep when you turn it on so you know it?s working and I guess in an emergency features like that aren?t necessary, but still would be nice to have.

SpareOne Emergency Mobile Phone is a brilliant idea and a must have for every emergency kit.
