I got my first cavity when I was 5. I may have been predisposed to them, as my daughter had the same issues with her baby teeth. I survived multiple childhood cavities and had beautiful adult teeth to replace them. But when I was in my 20s, I drank Mountain Dew regularly and late into the night, and then I would go to bed without brushing. It wasn?t long before I had cavities in my adult teeth. Lots of them.

It was after the excruciating pain I suffered from the tooth extraction that I began to truly appreciate my teeth and began to slightly obsess about tooth care.
